Top 5 of my documentary shows to watch on Youtube

Yes, my goal is still to promote "self-care" and well-being. And as I already mentioned in one of my posts, "self care" can be practiced in various ways.

Lately, for me it's been watching a good show on TV. In fact, I watch them on YouTube from my television because often we tend to associate YouTube with the phone or tablet.

During all this summer, I watched some TV shows which you can watch again on Youtube and I wanted to share them with you. Some of these shows are several years old so I can only say: Thanks YouTube!

I read somewhere that "the grass is not greener elsewhere, it is where it is watered". We often tend to complain about our life, to envy what others have but yet being satisfied with what we have can be enough for us because:

"Most people are unhappy because they’re focused on what they want rather than appreciating what they have."

– Marty Rubin

And watching these shows allowed me to get away from it all but also to be grateful and appreciated what I have. Yes my life is not perfect, I have problems like everyone else but I am aware that for others life is not easy, and that it is filled with sometimes insurmountable obstacles.

ESCAPE SHOWS

Look for videos from : Des trains pas comme les autres

The concept is super interesting, it's a way of discovering a country by taking a train trip. The programs are only in French so for Anglophones who are Francophile, it's perfect with the subtitles.

It is very difficult for me to choose a favorite video because all the videos allow me to travel, to discover landscapes, people and cultures that I would like to have the opportunity to meet. In this case, I share with you one of the last videos I watched

"STOP COMPLAINING" SHOWS

Here the following videos are the ones that impressed me the most and made me realize that we shouldn't complain too much about our fate and that people have living conditions that are more difficult than ours.

Find videos of : Most dangerous way to school

The program is in English. I suggest all teachers to show their students this show so that they can see all the privileges they have. But also so that they can see the difficulties that some children face in certain part of the world in order to have an education. Whereas here some children refuse to take education seriously.

This program (in French) is a good way to immerse yourself in another culture and to be grateful for all the privileges we have.

The video of the following show really touched me because it is the children who are most affected by the difficulties of life. This video can be viewed in the English version.

Hope you found these shows interesting and inspiring.

And you, what is your favorite escape's show? Or the one that allows you to realize you have a privileged life and you should say to yourself "Stop complaining"!
